Okay, I took it:You Scored as Emergent/PostmodernYou are Emergent/Postmodern in your theology. You feel alienated from older forms of church, you don't think they connect to modern culture very well. No one knows the whole truth about God, and we have much to learn from each other, and so learning takes place in dialogue. Evangelism should take place in relationships rather than through crusades and altar-calls. People are interested in spirituality and want to ask questions, so the church should help them to do this.Emergent/Postmodern 68% Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan 64% Neo orthodox 57% Classical Liberal 57% Charismatic/Pentecostal 54% Modern Liberal 50% Fundamentalist 46% Roman Catholic 39% Reformed Evangelical 29% I wonder how many of those scores are reflective of the large number of questions I answered with the middle dot because I didn't really know what it was asking? ;)
Look at you little miss Emergent!!I think your results were prolly skewed a little by not having a whole lot of answers, but not too much. I think what is most reflected here is your approach to religion which is more family/relational in its focus, your desire to live a spiritually wholesome life (Evangelical Holiness), and of course the pervasive effects of your change agent husband always whispering conspiracies in your ears!
You Scored as Evangelical Holiness/WesleyanYou are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God's grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance of your salvation, and he also enables you to live the life of obedience to which God has called us. You are influenced heavly by John Wesley and the Methodists.Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan 96% Neo orthodox 71% Emergent/Postmodern 71% Classical Liberal 50% Reformed Evangelical 36% Roman Catholic 25% Modern Liberal 25% Charismatic/Pentecostal 18% Fundamentalist 14% so... I'm methodist? Never thought I was with those guys.-Luke Francis
Luke,The important part is that you DIDN'T score as a Fundamentalist...the rest is just gravy!C of C has a lot more in common with Methodist than you'd think - mainly that neither is very Calvinist! And we both know that Sir Luke Francis is nothing if not Holiness personified...right?
I agree with the first part, I'm glad that fundamentalist was last on my list and the second part confuses me. Sorry for the late reply.
